Anxiety & OCD Therapy

Anxiety and OCD can feel impossible to escape.

Most people who come to us for anxiety therapy or OCD treatment in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, or Ontario have been managing for a long time. They have tried to think their way out of it, push through it, or simply accept it as just how they are.

It does not have to stay this way. And with the right kind of support, it usually does not. If these sound true, you are not weak and you are not failing. You are dealing with something real, and you deserve support that actually understands it.

  • Your mind is always running, reviewing, or preparing for what could go wrong
  • You feel anxious even when there is no obvious reason to be
  • Thoughts show up sometimes out of nowhere, that feel disturbing or wrong, and you cannot make them stop
  • You find yourself doing things to feel better in the moment that do not help in the long run
  • You seek reassurance from others but it only works for a short tim
  • Nothing ever feels like the right choice, or good enough, so you have to keep questioning and ruminating
  • You avoid certain situations, places, or people to keep the anxiety at bay
  • Your body carries the anxiety even when your mind tries to reason with it

Yes, and this is one of the most important things we want you to know. The content of OCD intrusive thoughts often feels horrifying precisely because it is so contrary to the person’s actual values. Thoughts about harm, contamination, relationships, sexuality, religion, or identity are among the most common OCD themes. Our therapists have heard them before and will not be shocked, alarmed, or judgmental.

OCD is one of the most undertreated conditions in mental health, not because effective treatments do not exist, but because many therapists are not trained in them. Standard talk therapy or CBT alone is often insufficient. Specialized support in i-CBT for OCD, has the evidence base to show it produces significantly better outcomes for many clients who have not responded to other approaches.
